Bucharest - Curtea de Arges - Sibiu
Departure from Bucharest for Curtea de Arges (former capital of Wallachia) - viziting the splendid Cathedral from 16th century, Byzantine style with Moorish arabesques; crossing the Carpathians through the pitoresque Valley of Olt River the route arrive`s to The Cozia Monastery (14th century). After a short visit, we continue to Sibiu where will be accomodated. Sibiu was in 2007 European Capital of Culture, ranked by Forbes "Europe`s 8th most idylic place to live".
Sibiu - Sighisoara - Predeal
Walking tour of Sibiu: Liars Bridge, Passage of the stairs, Evangelical Church, Potters Tower, Grand Square, The Fortifications.
Drive to Sighisoara - the most beautiful and well preserved inhabited citadel in Europe - short city tour: The Citadel, Covered Staircase, Clock Tower, Church of the Hill, Vlad the Impaler`s (Dracula) birthplace. The tour continues to Brasov City, founded in 1211 by Teutonic knights; accomodations in Predeal, one of the most beautiful resorts of the Prahova Valley.
Predeal - Brasov - Sinaia - Bucharest
In the morning, visit Brasov: short walking tour of Brasov old city center: Council Square, Carpathian Stag - the oldest restaurant in Romania, The Orthodox Cathedral, The Black Church - the landmark of the city; driving to Bran - visiting Dracula`s Castle, continue to Sinaia on Prahova Valley, with visit to Peles Castle - former Royal Family`s Residence; in the evening arrival to Bucharest; end of tour.
